Proudly supporting the Australian sheep industry since 1979, Sheepvention returns ton the Hamilton Showgrounds on Sunday 3 and Monday 4 August 2025.

This two - day event is a must for anyone in agribusiness, featuring a dynamic mix of machinery, livestock, agri-tech, professional services, and everything in between, right in the heart of Australia's premier pastoral region.

Temporary Road Closures:

Council wishes to advise the following temporary street closures for Sheepvention from Saturday 2 August, through to and including Monday 4 August 2025:

Shakespeare Street - beside showgrounds from Sheep Pavillion to Lions Club Pavillion:

• Saturday 2 August 2025: 2pm - 8pm
• Sunday 3 August 2025: 6am - 6pm
• Monday 4 August 2025: 6am - 6pm

Shakespeare Street - between Dickens Street and King Street:

• Saturday 2 August 2025: 2pm - 8pm
• Sunday 3 August 2025: 6am - 6pm
• Monday 4 August 2025: 6am - 6pm

Milton Street - between Shakespeare Street and Market Place:

• Sunday 3 August 2025: 6am until Monday 4 August 2025: 6pm.

Horner Street - easterly traffic only between Shakespeare Street and Victoria Street:

• Sunday 3 August 2025: 6am until Monday 4 August 2025: 12pm THEN between Shakespeare Street and College Street until Monday 4 August 2025: 6pm.

 College Street - the No Through Road section from Horner Street, will be accessible only to property owners and exhibitors:

• Sunday 3 August 2025: 6am until Monday 4 August 2025: 12pm.

Horner Street - No parking on both sides of road from Shakespeare Street to showgrounds main entrance:

• Sunday 3 August 2025: 6am until Monday 4 August 2025: 6pm.

Town Bus Route Alteration

Council advises that the Town Bus Service, Stop Route 02 Hamilton via Kent Road will be diverted in both directions. Customers are advised to go to the temporary bus stop at King Street/Gordon Street.

Road/Street Alterations (One Way Street)

• Clifford Street - westerly traffic only
• College Street - southerly traffic only
• Coulter Avenue - northerly traffic only
• Elmore Street - easterly and northerly traffic only
• Horner Street - between Shakespeare & Victoria Street, easterly traffic only
• Leopold Avenue - northerly traffic only
• McDonald's Avenue - easterly and northerly traffic only
• Wells Street - westerly traffic only
• Wright Street - easterly and southerly traffic only

HRLX will be available for parking with a shuttle bus running - Shuttle bus schedule to come
