Peaks and Trails is a rewarding and challenging trail running event set in the stunning landscape of southern Gariwerd (Grampians), starting and finishing in the heart of picturesque Dunkeld.

Proudly run by the local community, this event is powered by a dedicated team of passionate volunteers who are eager to showcase our beautiful town and give back through this unique and inclusive experience. Whether you're a seasoned trail runner or new to the sport, the weekend has something for everyone, offering five distance options to suit all levels of ability and enthusiasm.

Each course features sections of the spectacular, newly opened Grampians Peaks Trail and highlights the breathtaking scenery of Gariwerd (Grampians). Longer course options also offer a rare opportunity to traverse properties, granting exclusive access to trails not normally open to the public.

As you run, you'll be immersed in a variety of landscapes and treated to postcard-worthy views framed by the region's four southernmost peaks: Wurgarri (Mount Sturgeon), Bainggug (The Piccaninny), Mud-Dadjug (Mount Abrupt), and Signal Peak.
