Staying healthy and well is important in good times and trying times. Drought, flood, bushfires and change in prices can be a trying time for many farmers. The times when we least feel like looking after ourselves are when we need to do it the most. The National Centre for Farmer Health have a number of support services available if you need support.
Step into rural history at the Pastoral Museum's October Rally, a weekend dedicated to showcasing iconic machinery and brands that have shaped farming through the decades. This year's event highlights the legacy of manufacturers now part of AGCO, featuring well-known names such as Allis Chalmers, Ferguson, Massey Harris, along with rarer brands like Hart Parr, Deutz, and Oliver.
Across the museum grounds, you'll find displays of tractors, harvesting and hay equipment, and industrial machinery from different eras. Wander the period streetscape, browse display sheds filled with bygone tools and vehicles, and see working exhibits in action. Activities include model railway displays, vintage cars, and demonstrations by skilled wood turners.
A grand parade takes place at 2pm on both days. Food and refreshments are available throughout the event from the museum's kitchen. The October Rally offers something for all ages and is a chance to experience the sights and sounds of Australia's agricultural past.
