Southern Grampians Shire Council has launched a fresh, new-look website focused on providing a greater user experience for residents.

Features of the new site include;

  • An intuitive search bar
  • Information on Council services including rates, waste, grant opportunities, building and planning permits
  • Animal adoptions
  • Online forms and payment options
  • A Tender Portal

Southern Grampians Shire Council CEO Tony Doyle said Council is excited to share an improved online resource with residents.

“Our new, purpose-built website has been designed with community in mind to make access easier to essential information around our Council services and facilities,” said Mr Doyle.

“It is focused on user experience with the top-most requested services in mind. While we continue to value face-to-face amenity, providing up-to-date information on permits, grants, and services in one online location is a resource I would encourage all residents to use.

“The intuitive search bar is a new function that enables community to find documents, forms and key information which was a point of frustration with the former site,” said Mr Doyle.

The website has retained the ability to search bin nights by address, features local maps, offers a downloadable road register, provides event information as well as the latest Council news.

“We will also feature animals available for adoption on the Pets and Animals pages, which partnered with our much-loved adoption videos on Facebook, aims to expand the promotion of our successful rehoming program,” said Mr Doyle.

“I encourage you to visit our new site and take a look for yourself. We will continue to focus on site improvement from community and user feedback, so please let us know what you think via our online comment options,” concluded Mr Doyle.
