Southern Grampians Shire Council, in partnership with Western District Health Services, Genhealth and the Australian Breastfeeding Association, are very pleased to announce an upcoming event titled ‘A Woman’s Health Journey.’

This free, informative event is designed for anyone who may wish to access valuable evidence based information and services locally available throughout the various phases of the parenthood journey. Whether you are planning to have children in the near future, are currently at any stage of pregnancy or are navigating the early stages of parenthood, there will be something here for everyone!

The event will be held at the Hamilton Base Hospital Auditorium on Sunday, May 26, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM where participants will hear from a distinguished panel of local women's healthcare professionals who will share their expertise and insights. Topics will encompass preconception health, prenatal care, childbirth, postnatal support, and early childhood development.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions with the panellists, both during and after the session. Complimentary morning tea will be provided, offering a relaxed environment for connecting with fellow attendees.

“This event provides an opportunity for families to cut through the many misconceptions out there regarding the preconception, and pre and postnatal journey,” said Di Dixon, Coordinator Leisure Facilities at Southern Grampians Shire Council.

“Families are a high priority for our community and this free seminar highlights the dedication of our local women's health providers to delivering comprehensive care and support to individuals and families at every stage of the parenting journey. I would recommend anyone to whom this applies to go down, talk to some people in a similar boat and see what can be done for the health of your baby, yourself and your support network.”

Attendance is free of charge, and all interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP in advance to secure their spot. For registration and more information, please visit A Woman's Health Journey from Preconception to Early Motherhood | Humanitix.
