Schools Out - Free Party for Young People at Hamilton PAC
Published on 26 March 2026
School’s out and it’s time to celebrate!
Young people across the Southern Grampians are invited to a free end-of-term party at the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre forecourt on Thursday 2 April from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
Free donuts, free milkshakes and live music: the perfect way to kick off the school holidays with friends.
The event will also give young people aged 12–25 the chance to have their say on the future of Hamilton, with Council seeking ideas and feedback on a new Community Hub and Library.
Southern Grampians Shire Council Youth Engagement Officer Jesse Shannahan said the event is all about celebrating young people while giving them a real voice.
“School’s out, so come down, hang out and enjoy some free food and great music,” Mr. Shannahan said.
“While you’re here, tell us what you want from a new Library and Community Hub. Want places to hang out, study or game? Tell us what you need.”
Interactive boards that have been on display at the library will also be available at the event, making it easy for young people to share ideas, vote on features and see what others are thinking.
No RSVP is required for this event, just turn up and have a great time.
