Market Place Customer Service Office Transition
Published on 03 September 2025
Southern Grampians Shire Council wishes to advise from Wednesday 3 September 2025 the Market Place Customer Service Office has officially closed as a Customer Service Centre.
From this date, staff at the Market Place office will be available by appointment only, with all general customer service now provided at the Brown Street Customer Service Office.
Southern Grampians Shire Council CEO Tony Doye said with the vast majority of customer service enquiries and transactions already being undertaken through our Brown Street customer service team, this change is part of Council’s ongoing efforts to streamline services and ensure we can continue to meet the needs of the community in the most efficient way possible.
What this means for you:
All customers are asked to contact our Brown Street Office for their building, planning and environmental health enquiries. If you need to meet with a staff member at Market Place, as always, they remain available via appointment, and this can be arranged in advance by calling (03) 5573 0444.
“We understand this is a change for our community and we thank you for your patience and cooperation as we transition to this new arrangement.
“Our team is here to help make the shift as smooth as possible and to ensure you can continue to access the services you need,” Mr Doyle concluded.
If you have any questions, need assistance with an appointment, or would like more information, please contact our Customer Service team on (03) 5573 0444, or drop into 111 Brown Street Hamilton to speak with our friendly staff.
