Council is committed to providing a range of waste management services in a responsible and cost effective manner.
We offer waste, recycling and FOGO (food organics and garden organics) kerbside collection services to all towns in the Shire.
We operate Transfer Stations in Hamilton, Coleraine, Penshurst, Dunkeld, Balmoral, Branxholme, Cavendish and Glenthompson.
Residents are advised that recyclables from Southern Grampians Shire are sent to Visy Recycling in Melbourne, which has not been affected by recent problems within the recycling sector. Residents are assured that their recycling is not being sent to landfill, and are encouraged to continue with their normal recycling practices.
