Connect with Council competition

'Connect with Council' for your chance to WIN a holiday to either Fiji, New Caledonia or Thailand!

How do I enter?

It’s easy, simply connect with Council between now and 5pm, Monday 6 August, 2018.
For example:

  • Register for e-Notices to receive your rates via email;
  • Become a new member of the Greater Hamilton Library;
  • Register for our green waste service;
  • Renew or join HILAC as a full-usage 12-month member;
  • Join the Friends of the PAC;
  • Join the Film Club;
  • Attend a Council initiated community engagement session;
  • Attend a Business Development Seminar or workshop;
  • Attend the Events Forum on June 15;
  • Visit the Council site at 2018 Sheepvention; or
  • Register your email address to get debtor invoices sent electronically.

Council staff will ask you at the time if you’d like to be entered into the competition and if you are, you’ll be in the running to be drawn randomly at the conclusion of Sheepvention Day One.


PLEASE NOTE: EMPLOYEES OF SOUTHERN GRAMPIANS SHIRE COUNCIL ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO ENTER – this includes permanent, part-time, temporary or casual employees.


Council acknowledges that contact details are provided for Council communication purposes only and will and not be provided to any other body. Please note that Council includes services such as Performing Arts Centre and Cinema.


1. Reward Trip bookings
(a) A Reward Trip consists of:
I. two (2) return economy airfares for people over 18 to the chosen Destination, departing from one of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth (whichever departure city is closest to the Eligible Client’s usual place of residence);
II. twin share accommodation at the chosen Destination as detailed in the table below;
III. ground transfers by hotel shuttle or car between the airport and the accommodation at the chosen Destination; and
IV. other inclusions specified in the table below.

* Accommodation and other inclusions are indicative only and subject to change. The specified accommodation and inclusions may be substituted by Ignite Travel Pty Ltd for accommodation and other inclusions of a similar quality.
(b) Eligible Clients acknowledge that the Destinations available for them to select as a Reward Trip are specific to the Australian departure city of the Eligible Client.
(c) A Reward Trip does not include:
I. ground transfers or domestic flights within Australia;
II. meals (other than those specified in clause 2(a) above);
III. hotel incidentals including any room service or telephone charges;
IV. travel insurance;
V. any visa or passport related costs;
VI. excess baggage charges;
VII. fees resulting from booking changes or cancellations;
VIII. costs resulting from any extension of your holiday in the chosen destination, if permitted by Ignite Travel Pty Ltd or Ignite Holidays Pty Ltd (together “Ignite Travel”);
IX. surcharges applied by Ignite Travel for travel in school holidays or peak travel periods; and
X. any other costs or items not specified in clause 2(a) above.
(d) A Reward Trip must be taken as stated and cannot be varied. A Reward Trip, or any unused portion of a Reward Trip:
I. is non-refundable and non-negotiable; and
II. cannot be exchanged, taken or redeemed as cash or sold.

2. Reward Trip bookings
(a) Reward Trips are offered through an arrangement with Ignite Travel Pty Ltd (Ignite Travel) and are valid for travel between 01 August 2018 and 01 March 2019.
(b) Eligible Clients who fulfil the Minimum Spend requirement will be provided with a voucher for a Reward Trip (vouchers will be provided in July 2018 ), which they will be able to use to arrange the Reward Trip with Ignite Travel before the voucher expiry date stated on the voucher.
(c) A Reward Trip must be arranged by an Eligible Client with Ignite Travel directly before the voucher expiry date stated on the voucher. If the Eligible Client is a company then that Eligible Client must advise Ignite Travel which individuals will actually be traveling on the Reward Trip (if there is a discrepancy between the wishes and instructions of the individuals that are travelling on the Reward Trip and the Eligible Client then the Eligible Client’s instructions to Ignite Travel will prevail).
(d) Ignite Travel’s terms and conditions apply to all bookings and surcharges may be charged by Ignite Travel in respect of bookings made during school holidays and peak travel periods. Any booking changes or cancellations will incur fees which the Eligible Client will be responsible for.
(e) You acknowledge that neither Prime7 nor GWN7 has any responsibility to assist an Eligible Client to arrange a Reward Trip. Responsibility to book and redeem the Reward Trip through Ignite Travel before the voucher expiry date lies solely with the Eligible Client.
