The Hamilton landfill, servicing approximately 17,000 people and commercial operators within the Southern Grampians Shire, isolates waste from our community while preventing the contamination of water and air.
Located on the outskirts of Hamilton (2.5km WSW of the town centre) and accessed via Elijah Street, the landfill accepts nearly 9,500 tonnes of material per year.
The landfill is currently licensed to receive the following wastes at all active cells: solid inert waste, putrescible waste and pneumatic automotive tyres shredded into pieces less than 250mm in all dimensions.
