Residents are invited to join Mayor Cr Mary-Ann Brown, fellow Councillors and CEO Michael Tudball for Council’s annual Year in Review event on Wednesday 30 October.
Together with the executive team, they will explore the achievements and the challenges of the 2018/19 financial year. This special event will also showcase Council’s Annual Report, adopted at the October Council meeting and discuss what Council plans to deliver for the community over the coming year.
Southern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Mary-Ann Brown said she was looking forward to presenting the year in review for Council.
“Last year was the first time this Council held an Annual Meeting and the event was very well-received. We hope to make this year’s event bigger and better,” Cr Brown said.
“We are extremely proud of the achievements and positive outcomes we have delivered to our residents over the last financial year. 2018/19 saw the completion of a number of major community infrastructure projects, delivery of over 90% of the entire capital works program, completion of the Recreation and Leisure Strategy and Masterplans for both Lake Hamilton and Pedrina Park and the finalisation of the $38 million flood recovery program.
“Council invite everyone to come along and join us in celebrating these achievements and many others, in what promises to be a memorable evening,” Cr Brown said.
The Year in Review will be hosted in the Hamilton Gallery commencing at 6pm and following a presentation by the Mayor and CEO, refreshments will be served. RSVP’s are requested by Friday 25 October for catering purposes.
