The five Local Government Authorities (LGAs) within the Great South Coast region, the AFL Western District Commission, Cricket Victoria and Netball Victoria, have partnered to investigate the infrastructure and sports development needs for AFL, cricket and netball from both a local and regional perspective. The project was completed in March 2019.
102 sports grounds and five indoor netball facilities are included in the study area. The project considered whether existing infrastructure met the needs of communities and whether there will need to be an expansion or consolidation of facilities.

Government Reference Group – Glenelg Shire Council, Moyne Shire Council, Southern Grampians Shire Council, Sport and Recreation Victoria and Project Control Group Members.
Sport Reference Group – South West Sport, AFL Netball Leagues, Cricket Associations, Netball Associations, Umpire Associations and Project Control Group Members.
