Council Community Listening Posts Return

31 May 2022

Southern Grampians Shire Council’s successful Listening Posts are returning to township communities this year after a two year break. Residents will have the opportunity to have a chat to discuss ideas and concerns in a casual community setting with Councillors and Senior Council staff.

Dunkeld and Glenthompson will kick off the sessions on 1 June 2022 with all townships to follow over the coming months.

Southern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Cr Bruach Colliton said it’s great to be able to bring Listening Posts back to the region.

“We are really pleased to be able to once again bring our successful Listening Posts back to our communities,” said Cr Colliton. “After the pandemic and lockdowns prevented us from meeting face-to-face for such an extended period, we are really looking forward to getting back on the road to hear from residents and find out what the key initiatives, questions and issues are for each township,” said Cr Colliton.

The schedule for upcoming Listening Posts is as follows:

  • Dunkeld | Wednesday 1 June 2022 | 5:30pm

  • Glenthompson | Wednesday 1 June 2022 | 7:30pm

  • Branxholme | Wednesday 6 July 2022 | 5:30pm

  • Byaduk | Wednesday 6 July 2022 | 7:30pm

  • Tarrington | Wednesday 20 July 2022 | 5:30pm

  • Penshurst | Wednesday 20 July 2022 | 7:30pm

  • Cavendish | Wednesday 17 August 2022 | 7:30pm

  • Balmoral | Wednesday 17 August 2022 | 5:30pm

  • Coleraine | Wednesday 21 September 2022 | 6:00pm

“No registrations are required so come along, tell us what’s happening in your town and reconnect,” concluded Cr Colliton.

Locations will be confirmed for each session and posted to Council’s Facebook page and website at www.sthgrampians.vic.gov.au.
