Community Support Services

Community Support Services are aimed at assisting older people and people with disabilities to live as independently as possible. We focus on working with you rather than doing for you. It is about building your strengths and abilities to help you remain living independently and safely at home.

Our mission is to help you develop a plan to support your goals and maintain an independent lifestyle. We’ll tailor your plan around your needs, what you’re able to do for yourself, and what you’d like to keep doing.

Whether you only need temporary assistance while you get back on your feet, or help that requires adjustment over time, we’ll make sure your support plan is the right fit for you. We do this by reviewing your plan annually, or as your needs change.

Our Community Support Workers are trained and qualified to work with people from many cultures and diverse backgrounds as well as clients with dementia.

Note | A TTY is a special device that lets people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired use the telephone to communicate, by allowing them to type messages back and forth to one another instead of talking and listening. A TTY is required at both ends of the conversation in order to communicate.
