Bin & Collection Charges

Purchasing a bin

Kerbside bins must be purchased from Customer Service before the collection service can commence.

Once our collection service has begun, please keep in mind that you are responsible for replacing your bin(s) if it/they become lost, damaged or deteriorated. Bins damaged by our contractor will be repaired by them.

Whether you’re purchasing new or replacement bins, we will arrange for delivery to your home before the next collection date.

Bin types and prices are as follows:

120-litre bin $85.00
240-litre bin $85.00

Collection Charges

Residential customers are provided with a three-bin service (garbage, recycling and FOGO) and the annual charge for this service is included with your Southern Grampians Shire Council rates. Please keep in mind the full fee must be paid, even if you don’t use all the services.

Non-Residential organisations including businesses, schools, health services, etc. may apply to join the Council kerbside service. Upon approval, Non-Residential organisations may choose the services they need and will be invoiced annually.
