RMIT Hamilton
 One of Australia's largest Universities, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology has established a strong link with the Southern Grampians community.
 RMIT Hamilton, on the City's outskirts, has grown from a small community initiative to a unique partnership that is now firmly established in the Shire and offers an on-campus Bachelor of Nursing degree.
 A Learning Centre at the Glenelg Highway location is equipped with the latest technologies and delivers education in several modes to people living in the area. The Centre also provides computing laboratories, an art and design drawing facility, textile training and various meeting rooms for public use. A business incubator complex has also been developed at RMIT Hamilton to facilitate the establishment of emerging business initiatives.
 RMIT Hamilton also operates a research unit through its Centre for Regional and Rural Development. The Centre investiates a range of social, economic and environmental issues impacting on the region.

South West Institute of TAFE
 Located at 38 Hammond Street, Hamilton, the Hamilton South West Institute of TAFE campus offers an extensive choice in tertiary study options:
 Accounting and Business Studies
 Management and Administration
 Information Technology
 Hospitality
 Electronics
 Certificates in traditional automotive and metal trades
 Studies in these areas lead to Diploma or Certificate qualifications. Some courses also allow subjects to be credited towards further University study if students wish to progress further. Vocational qualifications can commence at VCE level with dual accredited subjects leading to both TAFE and VCE Certificates.

Rural Industries Skill Training Centre (RIST)
 RIST is one of the largest private agricultural training providers in Australia, with modern training facilities located at 915 Mt Napier Road, Hamilton Victoria.
 RIST provides vocational education and training for the rural industry covering a wide range of courses including pasture production management, animal health, animal nutrition, marketing, genetics, cropping and wool classing.
 RIST utilizes a unique model of delivery to bring nationally recognised training as close to the farmer/employee as possible, delivered by industry specialists, utilizing the latest information. RIST is ISO 9000 accredited and as a Registered Training Organisation complies with the requirements of the Australian Quality Framework.
 In addition to the wide selection of short course training RIST also offers a Diploma of Agriculture and Traineeships at Certificate II and Certificate II Levels in Agriculture.

Southern Grampians Adult Education
 Located at 105 Thompson St, Hamilton, Southern Grampians Adult Education is a community based education centre delivering a vital service aimed at the further education needs of young people and adults.
 A range of adult, community, and further education programs are offered in the categories of literacy and numeracy, preparation for work or study, vocationally orientated classes and general adult education in the recreational, leisure and hobby areas.

 The Helen and Geoff Handbury Fellowship Program is a community-university partnership scholarship fund that provides financial support to the Western Victoria community region in partnership with RMIT University staff or students to undertake projects that provide a direct and tangible benefit towards the sustainability of the region and surrounds.
