Southern Grampians is nationally recognised for its educational provision, from pre-school, primary school and secondary colleges to tertiary training and adult education.

The provision of quality education began in the region more than 125 years ago by schools that today continue to offer the ultimate learning experience.

The Shire's education centres are an integral contributor to the local economy and directly employ around 500 people, including 300 teachers.

More than 4000 students are enrolled in schools in the Southern Grampians Shire.
