Weather Situation A high pressure system well south of the Bight extends a ridge through Bass Strait and will move slowly eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea by late today. A low pressure trough will then develop over the Bight on Thursday, before moving eastwards across western and central areas of Victoria on Friday and through the east and northeast of the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 October Partly cloudy. Winds east to southeasterly averaging 15 to 25 km/h. Daytime maximum temperatures around 19.

Forecast for Thursday 27 October Sunny at first but cloud increasing later in the day with isolated showers developing in the southwest in the evening. Winds east to northeasterly averaging 10 to 20 km/h tending north to northeasterly up to 25 km/h around dawn. Overnight temperatures falling to between 6 and 9 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.
