Southern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Cr Mary-Ann Brown said Council were very excited to have the outdoor cinema pop up road show visiting Hamilton.

“What an exciting opportunity for all our residents to get together with family and friends to watch some great movies under the stars. And what an exciting use of our wonderful facility in Melville Oval for the benefit of our whole community.

“This is the first event that Council has secured through our partnership with Sports Marketing Australia, who work with Councils to place events into regional areas for economic, community and branding benefits. We look forward to attracting more exciting events into Greater Hamilton next year to strengthen our existing event calendar, provide engaging opportunities for residents and visitors whilst having an economic benefit to our region,” said Cr Brown.

Toyota Regional Marketing Manager, Jeremy Watson said:

“Supporting community events is part of Toyota’s DNA and the team at Hamilton Toyota are incredibly proud to be supporting this event in Hamilton.”

TAC senior road safety manager Samantha Cockfield said Cinema Pop-Up is a new way for the TAC to get its road safety message into regional Victoria.

"Victorians are four times more likely to die on country roads so we're always looking for new ways to help country Victorians get home safely, every time they get behind the wheel."

Cinema Pop Up is the largest outdoor regional cinema operator in Victoria, with pop ups running throughout regional Victoria all summer.

“We’re excited to bring an event of this calibre to regional Victoria. These are the types of experiences you’d traditionally only be able to access in metro cities, however we understand and value the importance of local communities. Having these magnificent partners on board together with support from the Southern Grampians Shire Council and Hamilton Performing Arts Centre & Cinema means we can offer a free experience people can share in together,” said Kate Hardwick, Director, Cinema Pop Up.
