The Hamilton Indoor Leisure and Aquatic Centre was offically opened by Minister for Sport and Recreation, Justin Madden MP on March 5, 2006. The facility cost approximately $9.7 million to construct.
The Centre is an expansion of existing facilities and has created a sporting hub for the region with the Centre known to many residents as HILAC.
